Leibniz’ Argument From Contigency

Leibniz’ argument from contigency:

Leibniz put the question “why is there something rather than nothing?”,and he believed the answer can be found in God

1:everything that exists has an explanation (i explained how it doesn’t work the same for God and even Lebniz adressed this)

2:if the universe has an explanation of its existence, that explanation is God

3:the universe exists

4:the explanation for the existence of the universe is God

“if everything has an explanation, doesn’t God have an explanation of his existence as well?”

To adress this,Leibniz makes a key distinction betwen things that exist necessarrily and things that exist contigently
